The Whitewashing of Christianity

Whitewashing is defined as deliberately attempting to conceal unpleasant or incriminating facts about someone or something.  This presentation will demonstrate the intentional tendency of white Christian scholars to dominate the Bible, Christian art, literature, and history with white people at the expense of authentic ethnicity and true scholarship and how this practice has been destructive to people of color.  Based of Pastor Jerome Gay’s book, this 55+ slide presentation will show undeniable proof of how the enormous contributions of people of color have been whitewashed from the pages of history and ends with practical steps on how to address this problem in a biblical manner.
